The Ethiopian Inclusive Finance Research and Training Institute (EIFTRI) is established by AEMFI as income generating wing of the association. The association after obtaining a green light from its members, it followed all the applicable laws for establishing the institute and established the institute as for profit PLC, which is fully owned by AEMFI. As many studies and assessment reports show the human capital development has been one of the major challenges for the institutional development of the inclusive finance service providers. To this end, it is evident that the sector needs to overcome the human capital limitations that have been hampering it from achieving its mission to remain persistent and contribute a great deal in alleviation of poverty. Therefore, cognizant to the human capital development limitation in the country AEMFI has established the Ethiopian Inclusive Finance Training and Research Institute in order to fill the existing gap.
EIFTRI is now completing the construction of its building, which is located near AEMFI. The building consists of offices, training rooms and bed rooms. Once the rooms are furnished with appropriate furnitures, EIFTRI plans to begin providing its short term training programs at its own building.
